About Kate
I'm a very enthusiastic teacher, and particularly enjoy raising confidence in my students. I like to be creative in my lessons and will inspire you to aim higher than you may have imagined before.
Alongside, my career in writing and teaching I also run confidence boosting workshops in schools teaching speaking and listening to year 9 and 10.
I see the mastery of English as much, much more than a grade. It is the ultimate skill for life as excellent communication can open so many doors for success and personal development.
I will help you reach your grade goals but the value-added confidence you'll get will underpin all your learning into the future.

I have 2 English degrees: BA (hons) Literature and MA Creative Writing from Exeter University. Plus I'm a qualified and experienced English teacher.
Before my teaching career I was a journalist so have a lot of subject knowledge outside of the curriculum. I am also a published YA author and a poet.
