About Sameen

I am currently completing my GCSEs and will be available to teach immediately afterwards. Throughout my studies, I have regularly supported friends and classmates with their revision, helping them understand difficult topics and improve their exam performance. Several students I’ve worked with have improved significantly, including moving from grade 7s to grade 9s in sciences and maths. I study at a leading private school - Highgate School - in London with a strong academic record, where I consistently perform among the top students in my year.

I genuinely enjoy teaching, not only because it helps others succeed but also because it reinforces my own understanding. I am patient, approachable and able to explain complex ideas in a clear, simple way. As someone aspiring to study medicine, I value communication, problem-solving and helping others reach their full potential.

I am also fluent in Bengali and can support students with Bengali speaking and communication where needed.

About the lesson

I take a structured, exam-focused approach tailored to each student. I begin by reviewing the exact specification of their exam board to ensure full coverage, then target either weaker topics or work through the course systematically. Lessons focus on clear explanation, followed by personalised exam-style questions and practice papers to identify gaps. We revisit and refine these areas until the student is confident and consistently accurate. Sessions are flexible, typically 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on needs. Having recently achieved top GCSE mock results (eight grade 9s and two 8s, plus a Distinction* in Level 2 Further Maths), I understand current exam techniques. Lessons are suitable for students from KS2 up to GCSE level.
