About Quinn

Hi, my name is Quinn and I have been playing guitar for 20 years. I started at the age of 7 and haven't been able to put it down since. Over the course of my musical career, I have been trained in various styles including metal, jazz, and classical guitar. Five years of that was specifically around classical fingerstyle, as it was essential to the time I spent studying music at Cawthra Parks Regional Arts program. In recent years, I have focused on video game music production, not only playing guitar, but composing and mixing scores for a variety of instruments. Additionally, I have performed in a variety of live shows, as part of bands and in solo endeavors. Previously, I have taught privately and in music schools for over 3 years. I am incredibly passionate about sharing my love of guitar and teaching others about this wonderful instrument.

About the lesson

Firstly, I would be happy to discuss what your goals are for music and guitar. From there we can devise a lesson plan specifically tailored to you. Whether you'd like to simply learn your favorite songs, get into the nitty-gritty of advanced techniques, become more knowledgeable in the realm of music theory, or explore creativity through improving your skills in improvisation. If you are a beginner, and not sure where to start, don't fret! We will take lessons one step at a time and build essential foundational skills to playing and understanding the guitar. For more intermediate and advanced players, we can get right into shredding! Want to learn more advanced techniques like tapping, sweeping, and hybrid picking,? I'd be happy to show you the ropes!

I've known this guy for a long time, dude is a vibe, very talented, kind and respectful.

He brings his guitar up to the cottage and plays it down by the campfire, making for a chill time. When another buddy brought out an instrument, Quinn synced up with the tune he was playing. They just came up with a song on the spot. Pretty cool to see, and listen too.

So, if you ever wanted to play guitar, and learn some music theory, Quinn is the best teacher you can get. You will be jamming in no time at all.
