About Dr James
Semi-retired psychology Lecturer who trained in the US but have worked in Australian academic settings for 20 years. I have also practiced as a clinical and neuropsychologist for 20 years and conducted psychological research for 30 years. I enjoy teaching and helping students feel empowered about their own abilities and education.

Individualised sessions provided by a highly trained and experienced Psychology Lecturer/Clinician. Over 25 years of course design and delivery for introductory to graduate level units (e.g., Intro Psych, Developmental Psych, Physiological Psych, Psych Assessment, Abnormal Psychology, Human Behaviour, Intro Statistics, etc...). I have written and marked thousands of assignments and trained psychology tutors, and serve as an examiner for theses and a reviewer for several journals. I have also Supervised dozens of Psychology and Allied Health graduate and Honours student research. Trained in educational psychology and learning disorders. Understanding the barriers to success and designing personal study plans are key; knowing whether the approach is working so it can be refined is also essential.
