About Alex Mawunya
I’m Alex Mawunya Tagbor, a professional ICT and Mathematics teacher with a Bachelor of Education in ICT/Mathematics and a National Teaching Council teaching license. My experience goes beyond teaching from a textbook. I enjoy creating practical learning experiences that help students see how what they learn can be used outside the classroom.
During my teaching and educational work, I have organised free computing classes for students, mentored learners with an interest in technology, and established a robotics club to encourage hands-on learning, problem-solving, and innovation. I also supported learners in developing a smart city and hydroponics project that went on to earn second runner-up in an ICT/Robotics competition.
These experiences have shaped the way I teach. I pay attention to what a learner understands, identify where the difficulty begins, and then break the concept down into manageable steps. For ICT, I believe students learn best by actually doing things, while in Mathematics I focus on building understanding rather than encouraging students to simply memorise procedures.
I work well with learners who need extra support, students who want to strengthen their foundations, and those who are ready to challenge themselves further. My goal is not only to help students get better grades, but to help them become more confident, independent, and capable learners.

I provide engaging and student-centred online lessons in ICT and Mathematics for Basic and Senior High School students. As a B.Ed. ICT & Mathematics teacher, I use clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, questions, and regular feedback to help students understand difficult topics and build confidence. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are adapted to each learner’s level, learning pace, and specific needs. My classes are suitable for students who need academic support, want to strengthen their foundation, prepare for examinations, or simply improve their understanding of ICT and Mathematics.
