About Leanne

I am an Australian female teacher who believes in the power of education and self-improvement. Life is an adventure and we never stop growing and learning. I believe in a Growth Mindset: every student can learn and improve. Attitude is just as important, or even more important, than aptitude. I'm here to help those people who want to learn, gain knowledge, explore, develop their skills, and acquire new ones. My lessons are engaging, relevant and fun. I’m friendly and have a good sense of humor. You choose the pace and intensity of your lessons. It is very important to me that you not only learn and improve a lot, but that you also enjoy it.

About the lesson

My lessons are typically an hour long and tailored to your individual needs. Tell me what and how you want to learn and I will design engaging and stimulating lessons for you to improve your skills and knowledge. I’ve been an educator since 2000. I have a degree in English Literature and Archaeology from The University of Sydney, as well as other qualifications. I have taught at various colleges and schools throughout Asia: Japan, China, Thailand and Oman. As a former international high school teacher, I am mostly familiar with the IB: International Baccalaureate curriculum; however my experience can be transferred to helping Australian students following the Australian curriculum, as the skills/knowledge required are essentially the same. I can teach children from the age of 6 to adults of any age. My main subject areas are English (ESL and Literature) and History

I prefer to teach online. 60 minutes costs $60 Australian dollars. I have a lot of teaching materials. I can email you materials such as readings, worksheets, and PDFs to support your learning. I can respond to your questions and emails anytime. I will try to answer quickly. If you buy a package of 4 lessons a month you can get a discounted rate of $50 an hour
