About Meliscka
I personally never fit into the western schooling system, not for rebellious reasons, but for reasons I only understood years later.
I recognised my unique and creative ways in my early teens, exploring all the styles and mediums of expression. Realising that I learnt most effectively through movement and doing. It helped my mind understand the process of the action, allowing my body to achieve more confident results. And it all made sense, I couldn't just sit and listen and actually absorb the information, I needed to do it.
I immediately knew I wasn't alone in this, and TEFL was the easiest way I could make a change to the way students experience learning.
I dove in head first, and here we are, thousands of happy students later, more courses to the "teaching qualification belt" and still finding new ways to make learning enjoyable and memorable for everyone.

My approach to teaching is all about the student and their needs. Modifying any lesson to any individual is a strength of mine.
We don't all learn in the same way, or at the same pace.
By being considerate and adaptable I have proven that students can shine incredibly bright in whatever they are willing to practice.
I am proficient in both Afrikaans and English, so far I've spent 3 years teaching English Abroad.
A typical lesson is based on the fundamentals of the mind, how it absorbs information and how the student may process information at that age.
Yet a general idea : Introduction, Phonics, Vocabulary, In a Scenario, Role Play#1, Video Recording, Replay, Role Play#2, Finish with a Game and youVideo Recording is sent to you as Practice. Until next time!
I am naturally attuned to early childhood development, therefor I am aimed at Kindergarten Ages. Teaching the necessary knowledge, and more.
