About Kanako

I’m 30 years old, mum of two boys.
I moved from Japan to Perth when I was 15 as an international student.
At first, I found it challenging because of the language barrier and culture difference. With time and determination, I overcame these challenges and graduated from high school.
Because I’ve experienced learning a new language and adapting to a new culture myself, I understand how difficult it can be.

I’d love to make learning Japanese fun, easy and enjoyable for everyone!

As I enjoyed interacting with children , which inspired me to become an educator. I have experience as an Early Childhood Educator for last 9 years.
Now, I’d love to share my Japanese language and culture in a fun, simple and enjoyable way.

About the lesson

I offer private Japanese lessons for young children, school students, university students and adults.
With experience as a Japanese tutor and Early Childhood Educator, I tailor each lesson to suit the learner’s age, level and goals.
For young children, lessons can include fun games, songs, stories, simple conversations and activities to help them enjoy Japanese naturally. I have heaps of picture books to read as well.
For school and university students, I can support Japanese studies, homework, speaking, reading, writing and exam preparation.
For adults, lessons can focus on everyday conversation, travel Japanese, pronunciation, reading and building confidence in speaking.
