About Lizette
I’m a passionate, bilingual educator with over 25 years of experience teaching K–12 students, especially those with learning differences. I teach from home and am currently completing my M.S.Ed. in Reading with a certification in dyslexia. I love teaching, reading, and cooking—and always strive to make learning meaningful, personalized, and fun. I’m also a proud mom to a smart and handsome 25-year-old son who keeps me inspired every day.

As a bilingual K–12 educator with over 25 years of experience, I specialize in supporting students with learning differences. My tutoring approach is individualized and structured, grounded in evidence-based reading instruction. I focus on phonics, phonemic awareness, comprehension, and literature. A typical session includes a warm-up review, targeted skill practice using multisensory techniques, guided reading, and a short, engaging closing activity. I create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel confident taking risks and growing. Lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students, particularly those who struggle with reading or have been diagnosed with dyslexia.
