About Sheldon
I’m Sheldon, a fully qualified Business and Economics teacher with PGCE and QTS and 16 years of teaching experience in the UK and Spain. During my career, I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, exam marker, Head of Department and Key Stage Coordinator, teaching A-Level, IGCSE and IB students.
Business is also something I experience beyond the classroom. I have started two businesses myself, most recently co-founding an A-Level college in Spain. This allows me to bring genuine business experience into my lessons and connect theory with real-world decisions and examples.
I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping young people make progress, particularly when a student has the knowledge but needs support turning it into strong examination answers. I find it especially rewarding when students become more confident, start understanding what examiners are looking for and see that improvement reflected in their grades.
Outside education and business, travel is one of my biggest interests. Having lived, worked and travelled internationally, I particularly enjoy working with students from different countries, cultures and educational backgrounds.

My lessons are focused, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs and target grade. I combine 16 years of classroom teaching experience with my experience as an exam marker to help students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
Alongside developing strong subject knowledge, we focus on the skills that make the biggest difference in examinations: application, analysis, evaluation, case-study technique and structuring high-mark responses. I use past-paper questions extensively and provide clear, personalised feedback so students know exactly how to improve.
Most importantly, I want students to enjoy Business and Economics, become more confident in their abilities and see measurable improvement in their results.
