About Deolinda
I was born and raised in South Africa and moved over to Portugal almost 25 years ago. I have been teaching for over twenty years in various contexts. I have extensive experience teaching all ages and levels and have also had the opportunity of owning my own kindergarten/language school. I have worked for the British Council for over twenty years. Over and above I have been a Cambridge Speaking Examiner for over 15 years. I regularly prepare candidates for Cambridge and IELTS exams. I look forward to working with you during your English learning experience.

My teaching is tailored to meet my learners' needs, be it for study purposes or for work needs. Lessons are interactive and learning is done through discovery and practical doing that is relevant and engaging to the student. Handouts and classroom notes are always sent to the student and if a minor to a parent. Lessons are usually an hour long. Regarding my qualifications - I have a bachelor's in English and various ESOL qualifications (TYLEC, DELTA). I have worked in a variety of environments and have worked for the British Council for over 20 years. Lessons are for whoever is interested in learning English in an engaging way!
