About Michael
“A fish judged by its ability to climb a tree will always feel inadequate.” This idea, often attributed to Albert Einstein, reflects my teaching philosophy that every student learns differently, and I tailor my lessons to match each learner’s strengths.
I am an experienced online tutor specializing in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics across GCSE, A-Level, foundation, and university levels. My goal is to simplify complex concepts and help students build confidence while achieving strong academic results.
My professionalism is reflected in feedback from class observations, where my sessions were described as “excellent and well structured, with effective student engagement and smooth class flow from start to finish.”
Students describe me as patient, supportive, and engaging. I create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, and my classes often include moments of smiles and laughter while still maintaining clear academic progress.
I focus on helping students not just improve grades, but also develop lasting understanding and confidence in science and mathematics.

I believe learning science and mathematics should be clear, engaging, and even enjoyable. I teach GCSE, A-Level, foundation, and university-level students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics, also students from Grade 8-11, helping them understand difficult concepts and improve their exam performance.
My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-focused. I break down complex topics into easy-to-understand explanations, followed by guided practice and exam-style questions to build confidence and mastery.
A typical lesson includes:
Quick review of previous topics
Clear explanation of new concepts
Step-by-step problem solving
Practice questions and feedback
One thing that sets me apart is my learning environment: I always look for ways to make students feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident. My classes are interactive, and it's common for students to smile, laugh, and enjoy learning, while still making real academic progress.
My lessons are ideal for:
GCSE and A-Level students
Foundation and pre-university students
Students preparing for exams
Students struggling with science or math
My goal is to help students understand deeply, gain confidence, and achieve strong results — not just memorize.
