About Heather
I have taught for over 20 years and have helped countless students to overcome their difficulties, reach their goals and achieve success. Proficiency in English helps with all the learning areas. In addition to my teaching qualification, I also have an Honors Degree and a post-graduate qualification in helping learners struggling at school. I love reading and doing puzzles and hope to spread that enthusiasm to my students. I am very patient and persistent, and never give up on my students.

My lessons reflect my passion for the English language, reading and playing with words. All lessons are adapted on diagnostic and formative assessments of the individual learner. I try to accommodate the student's interests into my topics. I believe encouraging a student to want to learn is the key to success! I am very patient and persistent, if one method does not work, I will keep trying until an understanding is reached. I believe each student needs to learn at their own pace and experience success, but my students must also adhere to deadlines.
