About Emma
I am an Associate Professor in Pharmacy Practice, registered pharmacist and experienced healthcare educator with over 15 years’ experience across community pharmacy and higher education.
I support pharmacy and healthcare students with placements, OSCEs, reflective writing, professionalism, calculations and academic confidence. Through my work leading placements and professional development within an MPharm programme, I understand both what is expected academically and what is required in practice.
My approach is calm, supportive and practical. I help students break complex tasks down into manageable steps so they can feel clearer, more confident and better prepared for assessments, placements and professional situations.
I particularly enjoy supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stuck or unsure where to start, and I aim to create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
Having experienced ADHD myself, I also understand some of the challenges around focus, organisation and overwhelm, and I take a flexible and understanding approach to support.

My sessions are tailored to each student and focused on helping you make clear, practical progress. I support pharmacy and healthcare students with reflective writing, placements, professionalism, pharmaceutical calculations, OSCE preparation and academic confidence.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes and designed around your individual needs, whether that is improving assignments, preparing for placements or assessments, developing reflective practice skills or building confidence in calculations and professional communication.
I use a structured, step-by-step approach to help students understand expectations clearly and develop practical strategies to improve both confidence and performance.
My aim is to create supportive, focused sessions where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence and making meaningful progress.
I am also happy to offer a short initial chat to discuss what support would be most helpful.
