About Harriet
I am coming to the end of phd in English literature, which I have supported for the past three years with teaching work across the university of Birmingham and Coventry university, within the college of arts and law and academic writing departments. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals, be they reaching the next grade boundary or making assignment briefs understandable.

My years of experience teaching seminars and one-to-ones within UK higher education (the university of Birmingham and Coventry university) has equipped me with the skill-set to help students become comfortable and confident writers! Whilst I have discipline specific experience within the field of English literature, I can help you work towards great academic style and argument cross-discipline.
I pride myself on my open, accessible, and adaptable style of teaching. Working closely from each student’s needs, from accurate grammatical sentence construction to the pushing further the nuance of argument, I aims to engage students in their personal education journey, aiding them to become better writers and more adept critical thinkers.
I am in the final year of a Phd in English literature (the University of Birmingham), and have received a distinction at MA (literature and culture) and a 1st at BA (joint honours English literature and philosophy), both from the University of Birmingham.
