About Muaaz

Hello! My name is Muaaz Ahmed, and I am a fifth-year medical student at the University of Pretoria with 4 years of experience in tutoring Physical Science. My passion for teaching and helping students excel in their studies drives me to provide the best possible learning experience.

As a dedicated tutor and a medical student, I bring a high level of professionalism and commitment to my teaching. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students and help them achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

With 4 years of experience in tutoring Physical Science, my approach is centered around fostering a deep understanding of concepts through a methodical teaching style. I emphasize the importance of grasping the underlying principles rather than just memorizing facts. My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging students to ask questions and think critically. What sets me apart is my focus on past paper approaches and practice, which helps students become familiar with exam formats and improve their problem-solving skills.
I am proficient in English.

In a typical lesson, students can expect a structured yet flexible approach. Each session begins with a review of previous material to reinforce learning. We then move on to new topics, where I explain concepts using real-world examples and practical applications. I like to provide notes to the students preferably in bullet form as this allows for more efficient recall. Interactive discussions and hands-on activities are integral parts of my lessons. Towards the end of each session, we work on past paper questions to apply what we’ve learned and build exam confidence. Homework and additional practice materials are provided to reinforce the day’s lessons as well as see how much the student can manage on their own.

My lessons are aimed at high school students doing CAPS syllabus, particularly those in grades 10 to 12, who are preparing for their final exams. I also cater to students who are struggling with specific topics in Physical Science and need extra support to improve their understanding and performance.
i am also well equipped to help those students in the lower grades with Natural Sciences.
