About Emerson

From a young age, I was captivated by music. At the age of 10, I asked my parents to enroll me in piano lessons. Although my parents were passionate amateurs of string instruments and Caribbean music, they quickly agreed and enrolled me in private lessons with a renowned teacher.

Under this teacher’s guidance, I learned music theory and quickly developed my piano skills. I had the opportunity to participate in various festivals and concerts.

To deepen my musical knowledge, I continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where I perfected my piano and vocal techniques. For over five years, I also served as an appointed pianist and choir director.

I had the opportunity to accompany Protestant, Jewish, and other communities in cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Gatineau, as well as in several Caribbean countries.

As a teacher and tutor, I aim to pass on my passion for music and singing to each of my students through a personalized method.

About the lesson

Since 2012, I have been offering private piano and voice lessons tailored to all ages and levels. My teaching method is designed to support students, whether they are beginners, intermediate, or advanced, in their exploration and musical development.

For young students, starting from 4 years old, I offer fun and stimulating lessons that introduce the basics of piano and singing in an engaging and interactive way. My approach is specially adapted to children to encourage their passion for music while developing their fundamental skills.

For adults, I focus on teaching advanced musical techniques. My program includes in-depth lessons on music theory, instrumental and vocal practice, as well as specific techniques to refine their playing and singing. I ensure that each student gains a solid and complete understanding of music, while progressing at their own pace.

Each lesson is personalized to meet the student's needs and goals, whether it involves mastering a new skill, preparing for a performance, or simply exploring the joy of music. I am committed to providing quality teaching that fosters musical growth and personal fulfillment.
