About Samuel
I am an experienced International School English Teacher with a passion of helping children better prepare themselves for the future by improving their proficiency in the language. My classes are catered for a wide variety of purposes:
- Casual conversational English and basic grammar and vocabulary
- Academic centred classes to prepare students for key examinations (UPSR, PT3, SPM, IGCSE)

The key to both being proficient in the English language and scoring in key examinations is to first build basic foundations. The key focuses in my methodology is:
Beginner:
- Vocabulary, Grammar and Punctuation
- Comprehension and Reading Skills (Narrative texts)
- Composition and Writing Skills (Formatted writing / Descriptive Writing / Narrative Writing)
Intermediate:
- Reading and Comprehension Exercises (Narrative / Literary / Informational)
- Using literary devices in writing: personification / metaphors / similes
- Intensive Formatted Writing exercises (speeches / letters / emails / articles)
- Summary Writing Exercises
Advanced:
Intensive Past-year question Revisions (question spotting and practice) which include:
- IGCSE
- SPM
- PT3
- UPSR
