About Amna
Hi! I’m a qualified primary teacher with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and qualified teaching status, graduating from Leeds Beckett University in 2024. I have six years of experience working with children across all primary year groups.
I’m friendly, patient and passionate about helping children feel confident in their learning. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs and make learning engaging and enjoyable. I am a qualified primary teacher with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), graduating from Leeds Beckett University in 2024. I have experience teaching across all primary year groups and supporting children with a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
My approach is child-centred, supportive and engaging. I use adaptive teaching to tailor lessons to each child’s individual needs, strengths and areas for development. I use a combination of clear explanations, modelling, questioning, practical activities and regular formative assessment to identify gaps in learning and monitor progress. I provide constructive feedback and adapt my teaching accordingly to help each child build confidence and achieve their potential.
I place a strong emphasis on building positive relationships with pupils, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of their learning. I also have experience supporting pupils with diverse educational needs, including special educational needs and children learning English as an additional language.
Lessons are typically 1–2 hours and are suitable for children aged 5–11 across all primary subjects. I can also provide targeted support and preparation for SATs, helping children develop both their subject knowledge and confidence.
