Amanda joined our network of supports for our 5th year daughter, who has dyslexia and who is also very engaged. She became our only support outside school, because it just worked so well, and when you lift English all boats rise. It was really important to us that our daughter felt supported rather than judged and also that her support team were not just thinking about exams, but about her skills and confidence for the ‘long game’. Amanda got on board very quickly, she focused on our daughter and her needs and built a plan they were both comfortable with. As a result we have seen a material Improvement in our daughter’s ability to express herself in all contexts. Her confidence has also grown and she has fallen in love with poetry and dramatic expression. Imagine that - the improvement isn’t just functional but also feeds her sense of self. There was never a need to check in on class logistics, because the enthusiasm was there and they simply happened as scheduled. I will look back on this experience as one of the best things we have facilitated for our daughter. But the hard work, was done by Amanda and herself. We are just tremendously proud of what they achieved together.
