About Melinda
I am a qualified secondary teacher with 20 years of experience in a variety of secondary settings. In addition, I have lectured and tutored at tertiary level, including holding the role of head tutor.
I have been tutoring students privately for the past eight years.

My teaching method will vary with the needs of the student. For some it is about breaking down an area of study into manageable units and creating understanding of the underlying concepts. For others, I will focus on extending their understanding to higher levels and examining finer nuances of responses, particularly for VCE examinations.
At tertiary level, many students have difficulties with the research methods component of their studies. I work with these individuals to assist them to understand the purpose of different statistics and apply these appropriately.
For many students, there is a need for some one-on-one work to boost their confidence in their abilities and capacity to tackle perceived difficult work. I am able to provide that help.
