About Lucy

I achieved a First Class Honours degree in BSc Psychology and have been working as a social researcher in the civil service for 3 years. I have a lot of experience in research development, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting. I am confidently able to support students in their work from GCSE through to undergraduate level in Psychology.

About the lesson

I would say my teaching method is very much student-led. I will have the student tell me prior to the lesson what they would like to work with me on (so I can prepare any resources appropriate) and also ask the student to bring any current work they have completed/are struggling with on this topic to use as a base for the lesson.

I was really struggling with my A levels. With only my teachers support, I never felt confident for exams and was receiving C/D grades consistently. After 6 months with Lucy she really boosted my grade; pushing me up to an A. Lucy is so welcoming and supportive and has a great skill of being able to condense vast amounts of content and makes it easy to understand. I really benefited from her exam technique as i suffer with dyslexia, she really helped me to become a strong analytical writer.

Due to COVID19, I didnt get to take my exam but I got my predicted grade (A) which helped me to secure my first choice university!
