About Maggie
I am a fourth year Public Affairs and Policy Management student at Carleton. I'm specializing in International Relations and Conflict and minoring in Women's and Gender Studies. I have been tutoring French, social studies, English, and elementary math for around 6 years. I took French immersion all throughout school and graduated with a bilingual certificate. When I am not studying or working, I love to cook, read, and do improv!

My students know their strengths and weaknesses best, so the more a student is engaged and communicates their needs, the more I can help. A Social Studies lesson may look like "trimming the fat" of an argumentative essay, investigating the causes of war abroad, or making connections between major historical events. I believe you get out of tutoring what you put into it, and so I am ready and willing to meet you halfway, however that looks for you. While I have a few lesson plans in my tool belt, 99% of the time we will come up with a lesson together that suits your needs best. This is a subject I am very passionate about, and so I really look forward to making politics exciting for my students.
