About Ollie
am a highly motivated postgraduate student and a proud graduate of the University of Southampton, a leading Russell Group institution.
My passion for teaching began early; I started tutoring Mathematics and Science during my own A-Levels. That early experience gave me a significant advantage—it taught me how to adapt my communication to suit different learning styles, how to identify exactly where a student is struggling, and how to build their confidence in challenging subjects. I achieved an A in A-Level Mathematics, and my continued academic progression through undergraduate and postgraduate studies has only deepened my analytical and subject expertise.
Having recently and successfully navigated the highly competitive landscape of elite UK higher education, I possess a current, working knowledge of what top-tier universities demand. I understand the pressures students face today, whether they are preparing for demanding A-Level exams or stressing over their UCAS applications.

We don't just solve problems; we analyse why a specific method is used, equipping students to tackle unfamiliar questions in the exam hall. I use past papers extensively to build familiarity and confidence under timed conditions.
For University Admissions and UCAS mentoring (Year 12/13), my approach is deeply strategic. Having successfully navigated Russell Group admissions, I work with students to draft high-impact applications—specifically focusing on the new structured UCAS format—and prepare them for the rigours of university-level interviews and entrance exams.
Lesson Structure
Length: A typical lesson is 60 minutes, though I recommend 90-minute sessions for intensive A-Level Maths or UCAS drafting.
Format: All classes are conducted online via a high-quality video link using an interactive digital whiteboard, allowing for real-time collaboration on equations and essays.
Target Audience: My lessons are tailored for ambitious GCSE and A-Level students aiming for top grades, as well as Year 12 and 13 students targeting Russell Group or elite university admissions.
