About Faith

My love for Spanish started when I first discovered a Spanish dictionary in my parents' study as a child. I began formally studying the language in 6th grade and, by 9th grade, studied abroad in Mexico—an experience that confirmed Spanish would be a key part of my future. In high school, I excelled in AP Spanish Language, and AP Spanish Literature before graduating early to study abroad in Ecuador. There, I took math, chemistry, and writing courses alongside native speakers, fully immersing myself in the language. I later spent 18 months in the Dominican Republic, where I helped seven new learners gain fluency in just two to three months using interactive methods. I still keep in touch with friends from around the world to this day! For nearly two years, I have formally taught Spanish and English at the Missionary Training Center, working with 10–35+ learners each week through personalized, one-on-one lesson plans. The MTC’s fast and effective teaching methods have even influenced how second languages are taught in the military. I’ve studied Spanish in nearly every way possible for over a decade and know firsthand how challenging (and rewarding!) language learning can be. My aim is to help you feel confident, stay motivated, and enjoy the process of mastering your second language!

What to Expect in a Lesson:

Each 1 hour session is designed to help you feel comfortable, make progress, and enjoy learning! Here's a general flow of what our time together will look like:

(3-5 min) A friendly check-in—how have you been?

(2-5 min) A quick follow-up on your language studies—what’s been going well? Any challenges?

(5-10 min) Answering your questions—let’s sort through any tricky concepts together using clear examples and helpful resources.

(20-35 min) Targeted practice—whether it’s conversation, grammar, listening, or another skill, we’ll focus on what helps you learn best.

(5-10 min) Setting next steps—we’ll create a simple, effective plan for your language growth until our next session.

My goal is to make learning fun, encouraging, and effective—whether you're just starting or refining your fluency!
