About Gary
After growing up speaking Spanish as a kid and then living in Spain for a year during college, I now spend much of my time teaching the language to others.
Qualifications:
-I have experience teaching both English & Spanish to speakers of other languages
-I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from the University of Washington
-I am working towards completing a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design & eLearning Development

What sets me apart is that my tutoring services are really a 2 for 1, and by that I mean…
1. With face-to-face lessons, I develop fun and engaging lesson plans that involve a lot of speaking, interactive activities and games. I firmly believe that the days of repetitive worksheets and verb charts are over! Learning Spanish is most effective when you are immersed in the language and truly enjoy the activities that you are doing during lessons!
2. I use my experience as an eLearning developer to create an entire online curriculum for each and every student. This requires me to be hyper-aware of my student’s progress and have the ability to adapt to their ever-changing needs. But all it requires from my student is to log on and spend time interacting with their course once a week (think Duolingo but completely tailored to your language needs & goals).
