About Poppy
Hi, I’m Poppy, a third-year Sports Science student studying at the University of Bedfordshire, currently achieving a 2:1 classification. Alongside my studies, I am an active footballer with a strong passion for sport, exercise, and helping others reach their potential.
Through my degree, I have developed extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, fitness training, and nutrition. My academic background allows me to support students studying GCSE and A - Level PE, helping them understand complex concepts and improve their exam performance.
As someone with ADHD, I also understand that every student learns differently. I have first-hand experience of developing strategies to stay organised, focused, and confident in an academic environment. This enables me to adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs and create a supportive, encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons are designed to help GCSE and A - Level PE students build confidence, improve their understanding of key concepts, and achieve their academic goals. Sessions are tailored to each student’s needs and can focus on topics such as anatomy, physiology, energy systems, biomechanics, sports psychology, fitness training, and exam technique. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, strengthen their knowledge, and develop the skills needed to succeed in assessments and examinations.
