He has been teaching me butterfly and freestyle for the last 3 months and we have made alot of progress, I have one more month with him and I'm very confident by the time I finish ill be able to turn up and do lengths using both swimming styles regularly. (p.s. butterfly is amazing). Right now I have to do 2 lengths of freestyle then take a break. One length of butterfly then take a break. Also learning tumble turn and the dolphin kick. Shallow pools make it easy for kids to stand rather than swim, while deeper pools help them develop true swimming skills like treading water, floating, and mastering strokes more effectively.
5. Lastly, I believe in supporting new and emerging coaches so we can build a wider talent pool, making swimming lessons more accessible and affordable for families. Swimming is a vital life skill. In countries like the UK, it is compulsory for children as young as four to acquire this vital life skill. It would be amazing for swimming to be in the kindergarten curriculum, if not lower primary schools.

The results speak for themselves:
• We started lessons in May. After just the first session (including the trial), my children could already tread water and practice basic strokes like breaststroke and freestyle with proper breathing techniques.
• By the 8th session, they were confidently swimming in deep water (3.5m) and even diving from a two-storey water slide without lifejackets!
• By the 10th session, they were doing underwater somersaults and handstands.
• By the 12th session, they had learned water rescue techniques. A skill that could save lives.
• Over three months, they also picked up backstroke and learned how to float comfortably on their backs.
• Moving into the fourth month, Udy introduced more advanced treading techniques used in water polo, which also built their stamina and strength in deep water.

What I truly appreciate is how Udy blends learning, practice, and play. He has a natural ability to keep lessons fun and exciting, while ensuring the kids progress steadily in their skills.
