About Muhd Airil
Hi, I’m a passionate music teacher with experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I specialize in traditional and contemporary music, focusing on instruments like the trumpet, guitar, ukulele, kompang, and gamelan. My teaching approach blends hands-on practice with music theory, helping students develop both technical skills and a love for music. Currently, I’m teaching music at MIS and organizing the MIS Music Showcase—an event where students can showcase their talents in front of parents and the school community. I enjoy working with students to build confidence and creativity through music, whether it's in a group setting or one-on-one. I’m now looking for a part-time position where I can continue to share my passion for music and help students reach their full potential. Whether it’s learning a new instrument or preparing for a performance, I’m excited to support students on their musical journey!

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Music Techniques and Teaching Methodology I believe in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where students can explore music through both practice and theory. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on developing musical skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression. I use a combination of: Hands-on Learning: I incorporate instruments like the ukulele, kompang, and gamelan to give students practical experience. Blended Teaching: I combine traditional music theory with modern techniques, helping students understand the cultural and technical aspects of music. Rhythm and Singing Integration: I teach percussion and singing together to help students develop a strong sense of timing, pitch, and musical coordination. Group Performance: I emphasize ensemble work to build teamwork and confidence, especially when preparing for events. Positive Reinforcement: I foster a supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Typical Length of a Lesson 45 minutes to 1 hour — long enough to cover key material without overwhelming students. Lessons usually include a warm-up, technical practice, a new concept or piece, and a closing reflection or performance. My Qualifications and Experience Teaching music at MIS, freelancer trumpeter, have Diploma in music and Degree in Music Education.
