About Violeta
Hi there! I have 10 years of experience playing guitar in a public setting and learning different styles of music for different gig types. For my students, I create a curriculum that focuses on their goals and lays down the foundation for them to grow efficiently. My approach is through song based learning rather than from theory, as I believe that context is what truly helps understand theory, rather than just memorizing rules. I love music because it helps us understand ourselves and gives us an outlet to express things that we feel we may not be able to in regular life.
I started teaching in high school without knowing it, as I taught music parts to my fellow students who didnt practice at home.
I worked at School of Rock before I relocated out of Miami. I also fulfilled a role as band leader; directing musicians, and teaching individual parts for various instruments throughout my band years in high school.

I ask students what music they are interested in, what they want to improve on, and how long they have been playing. Then I ask them what their favorite song is and we start with that.
I have worked with ages 7-14, boys and girls.
Have fun, express yourself, dont be nervous, focus, and be honest with what you like and dont like.
I played a Beatles Fest gig with my partner and twin sister, and we got the whole crowd up dancing.
