About Marcella

Juilliard and Los Angeles Theatre Academy alumni. Broad theatrical and cold reading training for the beginning to advanced acting student. Private coaching (as well as dialect coaching also available).

I've been teaching privately for twelve years, my rates are very reasonable and most of my students begin booking jobs immediately.

I absolutely love beginners as I can help them shape their talent quickly and that is very rewarding to me!

I started as a child actor and then later moved to New York, New York and Washington a working actor for many years. I stopped acting because teaching is truly my calling'

I am a graduate of both the Los Angeles Theatre Academy and The Juilliard School. I've studied all aspects of theatre, film and TV.

About the lesson

My typical process is to work with speech and movement on stage to get a feel for commanding the space. Often times casting decisions are made 10 seconds into an audition so it's my goal to instill confidence, control and ways to make a great first impression!

I prefer beginners but I have worked with all levels and all ages. I've done dialect coaching for people working on feature films, I've done stage and choreographic movement for film and TV. The bulk of my experiences in life theatrical production.

Look for a teacher who loves what they do and can impart a wealth of useful information relatively quickly!

It's been a challenging time to navigate Covid but I'm lucky because my lessons all transitioned well to Zoom. I absolutely love it when the student I am working with had the skills to ace a cold-reading audition and that is what I do best. Audition prep will ensure that you book the job!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would investigate whether they can teach cold-reading technique because without proper tools to audition well, sadly, it's much harder to book a job (role).
