About John-Michael

I bring my personal experience of having roles in Film, TV, and on Broadway and Off-Broadway. I am a CST (Certified Trainer and Speaker) and a LCI (Life Coach) for The Self-Talk Institute for create positive mind set as part of my approach. I am also have an Masters in Education and a BFA in Acting and Musical Theatre.

I love guiding students to discover the power with themselves to find their passion, from acting to Advocacy to Public Speaking. Acting classes are beneficial in many areas of life.

I was an assistant to a Broadway director and helped with casting.

I started teaching high school at the Stivers High School of Performing Arts in Dayton, Ohio. I also ran a talent agency and placed actors and models in projects around the world.

Today, I speak globably as a advocate for sexually abused athletes and survivors.

I have a Masters in Education and a BFA in Acting and Musical Theater.

I also have a CST (Certified Speaker and Trainer) and LCI (Licensed Life Coach) from The Self-Talk Institute. I have a TEDxTalk and have mentored people in Public Speaking.

I have performed in films, TV, and stage. I have originated many roles and worked in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and many regional theatres.

About the lesson

The first and most important is the in-take interview where I ask the student to share with me their goals and what they want to get out of the classes.

Each student is an individual and we will create a personalized program.

I work with many types of students from beginning to experienced.

The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to take the time to see if you both are a fit and if the teacher can provide you what you are seeking.

Also keep in mind of what you want and where you want to be in 5, 10, 15 years.

And remember, if the teacher is abrasive or verbally abusive, they may not be right for you.

I think the biggest event I am fond of is working with The George Clooney Productions on a documentary for Netflix.
