About Joelle
I have a BFA in Theatre Acting from The Ohio State University, an MFA in Theatre and Media (film) from the University of Georgia from which I am now finishing a PhD in Performance Studies. I’ve taught acting classes for theatre and film from students aged 4- 84 in universities, public and private schools and professional theatres for over 20 years. I have moved to Virginia after an 8-year stint as Producing Artistic Director of a professional theatre in Georgia. My expertise is Stanislavskian-based practice (upon which The Method is based) and Active Analysis.
Helping guide students to express themselves effectively and artistically is my favorite part of coaching.

After an initial phone call to discover the student's goals, I develop a curriculum tailored specifically for them. We start with exercises, explorations and assessments and continue from there.
