About Ila
Along with being a Community Theatre that offers opportunities for all ages to perform on stage, CAST offers training for all ages in many areas of theatre arts. CAST offers classes and workshops for acting for the stage and camera, audition preparation for stage and film, voice lessons and coaching, basic dance for stage productions, and more.
CAST Instructors and Teachers include professionals with years of experience in the fields of Theatre, Film, Music, Set Design, Set Construction, and Education. Executive Director, Cathy Stallings, has been working professionally in Theatre for over 30 years, as an actress, director, choreographer, music director, voice teacher and coach, and audition coach. Her students are constantly successful in being cast in productions, winning awards in voice and monologue competitions, and gaining acceptance in colleges and universities.
At CAST, our goal is to help our students, no matter what age, hone their skills to gain success on the stage and beyond.
I have a BA in Theatre Arts, studied voice for 15 years. I have performed in professional theatre for over 30 years and have studied under a variety of professionals in that field.

The first priority is to make the student feel at ease. All our instructors begin by moving at a pace that is comfortable to the student. Then, as the student begins to feel comfortable and more cofident, instructors pick up the pace and add more and more layers to the exercises.
