About Ron

I am a veteran of 50 years in theatre as an actor, director, and producer. I have taught for 36 years in HISD, Lone Star College, TUTS, The Ensemble Theatre, and Stages. I have an enormous passion for the theatre. Acting not only allows a person to build his confidence in all walks of life, but also provides a wonderful outlet for creativity. I have a MFA in Theatre, have acted in over 100 plays, directed over 150, and am a 32 year member of Actors Equity Association. I have a great passion for teaching. I love working with beginners! I do require that all students be double vacccinated!

Perfect! Ron is a teacher with lot of experience in acting. Ron has a very good way of meeting his pupil where they are at, and taking them one step forward at a time with patience, encouragement and thoughtful nuanced feedback. After I started my classes with Ron, getting to understand the actor's point of view from the inside, I find myself being more attuned to how I come across even in different life situations - after all wasn't Shakespeare right in that we all are actors in a giant stage of life! It is rare to find an acting teacher of Ron's caliber who is also great at nurturing talent. I am lucky to have found Ron through this website.
