About Hans
I have worked as a professional actor and director and know what it takes to stand out in this business. I work with begining intermediate and advanced students both in audition coaching (Dramatic and Muscial theatre) as well as acting classes.
My directing credits include; sold out NYC productions of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (WINNER – of 4 New York Innovative Theatre Awards including Outstanding Production of a Musical) A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE (NY IT nom. Outstanding Production) and PARADE. Developmental staged readings at The York Theatre Co. GOODBYE BARCELONA and QUEEN JO. Regional Credits include; HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY featuring George Wendt (Merry Go Round/Finger Lakes Broadway World nom.). STATE FAIR (Sharon Playhouse) HANDS ON A HARDBODY with Rex Smith, THE LION IN WINTER with Robert Newman and Kim Zimmer, CHICAGO HUNCHBACK, SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD, SUNSET BOULEVARD (Wilde Award Nom. Best musical) and THE LITTLE MERMAID (WINNER 5 Wilde Awards including Best Production of a Musical) Sondheim’s SATURDAY NIGHT, ANYTHING GOES, EVITA (New London Barn Playhouse – were I also served as a Resident director 9 seasons). As an Associate I worked on the national tour of STATE FAIR with John Davidson as well as Off Broadway productions of A MAJORITY OF ONE (Drama Desk nom.) with Randal Duk Kim and Phyllis Newman, and Arthur Laurents’ productions of HOME OF THE BRAVE and the world premiere of his play BIG POTATO. Directed the Norwegian Premiere of THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO for the NSKI School in Oslo.BFA Ryerson theatre School in Acting and Directing Ryerson University, Toronto.
