About Leah

A heart-centered teacher, coach, director, filmmaker and performer, Leah has over 30 years of expertise in the industry both in the Bay Area and LA, and over 13 years teaching experience. She encourages freedom of expression through her acting classes and workshops and offers private coaching for artists, performers, entrepreneurs, and executives of all ages — helping others to play in their art, find their voices, and share their unique gifts with the world. She has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 2008.

Leah enjoys practicing meditation, learning about psychology, neurology, sustainability, nonviolent communication, and delving into self-reflection. It’s pure joy for her to collaborate with others to create poignant and meaningful work.

I was training at a Meisner Technique studio and the founder asked me to start substitue teaching her beginners classes and take over teaching the kids classes. It was an honor, and I found that I gained so much from being of service.

I've studied with many private teachers and studios in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles taking classes, workshops, and training for over three decades. While working at an acting studio where I trained and taught the Meisner Acting Technique, some of the classes I've taught included: Acting On Camera for Film, TV, Commercial, Scene Study and the business of acting for kids, teens and adults.

About the lesson

Every student has their own unique learning and experiencing new skills and tools. Allowing yourself to be fully self expressed is a journey, I work together with individuals to support their growth, deconstruct limiting beliefs, and breakthrough any blocks that may inhibit

The range of "types of students" is pretty extensive - as working in the Bay Area, a lot of people in tech, pharma, and sales are looking for something to do creatively outside of their "norm". I also coach non-performers who need support with public speaking or being more authentically connected and engaged with their audience.

I attended Burning Man this summer for the first time in ten years - although it was my nineth year on the playa. I was thrilled to be back in the desert experiencing magic and the incredible art from all over the world. I volunteered working in a healing sactuary doing energy work and intuitive guidance.
