Kat Singleton is so kind, supportive, and caring in every aspect of her teaching method. She is a teacher that I will always look back on as having majorly influenced my life. Kat taught me what it truly means to be strong, not only through the acting training that she imparted onto me, but by watching her work and present herself with such confidence, poise, and power. Kat will nurture a student’s growth and push them towards their greatest potential. Kat has the innate ability to see and support something in a student, that they may not even be able to see in themselves. Kat is, and will remain to be, one of the most inspiring women I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from.

Kat cared about my growth as a person and as a working actor. She is empathetic about character and is passionate about her work. She gets results with each specific person she works with and if an approach does not work, she is patient and will attempt something more suited to the student. She encourages thinking deeply and without judgment; two instincts I had that I didn't know how to embrace until she walked me through them. Kat does not work harder than she has to, which is economical -- she works much smarter than harder and will teach you a way to do so, too.

Kat offers highly valuable insights in terms of character, objectives, and story. She offers questions and thoughts to actors that allow them to express their individuality while also creating wholesome and lively characters filled with depth. As a result, often a 60 second monologue is as compelling as a full production. In addition, she was supportive, patient, and nurturing. Kat made me a better actor as well as a person. I would highly recommend working with her if one gets the opportunity.

Kat is one of the most incredible acting teachers I’ve ever seen work! I had the pleasure of being in her acting class my freshman year of college and she changed the way I look at acting by giving me a deeper understanding of what it means to play the part and create a character from scratch. Kat is such a thoughtful teacher and will make sure to guide you to be the best actor and artist that you can be! I still think of her and use her methods of analyzing scripts and actor coach! I can’t recommend her enough, I promise being taught by her will change your life!
