About Cassandra Mmabatho
A natural entertainer who intrigues others when speaking, and motivate them to advance.
I truly enjoy teach the art of acting and speaking. Seeing others learn how to deliver a line or message is exciting for me as well as those I have taught.
I come from a family of educators. I began teaching in New Orleans, Louisian where I was part of an acting touring group.
I have a Bachelors degree in Speech and Theatre, a Master of Arts in huanities with a focus on Acting and Theatre.
I have directed many plays and musicals at the various schools where I've taught.
I have performed in many stage plays and taken workshops such as "How to Survive Hollywood"--i've also had my own acting studio.

First we must have a conversation to see how the student feels when speaking in front of an audience and why they would want to take acting.
Next, I'd like to discuss any favorite t.v. shows, plays, or stories and ansy specific characters that may be their favorite and why.
Finally I would have the student read a piece from an appropriate script. We would then begin to learn slowly a few of the acting terminology...
I have directed many plays, musicals, and fashions shows. These events included very young children age 3 and up to adults being in their 70's
I would suggest the student to not focus on what is being done, but their delivery. Being nervous means they are doing something important and that they are to understand when they are speaking the audience wants them to be excellent and this is their time to shine.
A recent evcent that I am fond of doing is directing an Easter play that included children age 4 to adults over 30.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Is this craft really something that they may be able to excel in. The student should decide is devceloping acting skills something they are willing to make sacrifices for. Such as practice, practice, practice.....

Details
I charge $45 an hour for children and $75 an hour for adults. Students would be expected to be part of an acting showcase/ performance once during the year.
