About Kai
It makes me happy to see people benefit! I learn along with the student, which makes it fun for me.
I first learned some basic ASL so I could order from my favorite tea shop, which was usually manned by someone who is deaf. I slowly picked up on phrases and the alphabet, and I passed this info onto friends.
I loved teaching friends, and I along with my classmates started an ASL group at my school. We have deaf speakers visit occasionally, and it's a relaxing thing to do after school.
I tutor at my school and I hold unofficial ASL group meetings after school, where I teach basic ASL to my classmates.

I get a grasp on what they currently know, then we work on weak points and build apon what they already know.
If you're looking to learn for professional reasons, I don't nessicarily reccomend my services. I'm not deaf, and even so this is more starter/casual learning.
I reccomend to get someone in your area, since ASL terms can differ from place to place, and there can be some words that are different. Plus it's a lot better to meet in real life.
I was at a bookstore, and someone complimented a denim jacket I painted, and we started a conversation about it while I waited in line.
It wasn't much, but they seemed very interested in my jacket, and that made me happy.

Think about the specific things you'd use this for, what terms would be useful, and how often you're going to be using ASL.

Details
Most of my lessons are free, especially since I'm just starting out and I want to get a feel for this.
If there's something specific you'd like to learn, or if you'd like to do something more long term, then I will charge for lessons; however this is more beginner ASL, so I reccomend getting a professional to teach you if you'd like to learn more.
