I provide high quality instruction for fast food prices. My shortest session 20 minutes long, and it only cost $10. The 30-minute session is $15. The 1-hour session is $40. Those are prices for one-on-one tutoring. Other options are available for small groups, Pods, or whole class instruction. I believe that everyone should have affordable access to academic help.
It's funny actually. I am one of those people that said I would never be a teacher. I started as a Communications major with the intention of working for a major newspaper. After a paid internship showed me that maybe that wasn't the path I would most enjoy, I changed my major to English with a minor in Secondary Education, and my first class confirmed that I was home. That was my junior year in undergraduate school.
I have a BA in English Secondary Education, a MEd in Educational Administration, and a PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction. I have 20 years of experience teaching English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writing at various levels, ages 4 to Adult.

After an appointment is prepaid in Square Appointments (day and time chosen by the client), I provide clients with a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link for the tutoring meeting. When we begin the session, I start with small assessments to get baseline information on the student. From there I design an instructional pathway that I will teach and continually measure to track student growth.
I have worked with a wide variety of students. I have served students with learning disabilities, students with Autism, students with behavioral disabilities, gifted identified students, students were considered 1 to 2 years behind in grade level, students who are learning English, elementary students, middle school students, high school students, technical school students... I have lived a very good life as an instructor. I have lots of different kinds of experience.
Be careful to hire someone who cares about what you're actually trying to do. Tutoring can be very generic, and there is nothing wrong with generic tutoring programs. However, some people need specialized attention that is catered to them and their needs. It is important that you find someone that can truly understand what it is you're trying to do and show you steps to achieve that with or without them.
Anytime that a person sets out to achieve a goal and they find themselves successfully completing a step forward, I am fond of that. I try to make myself a part of that process for everyone I meet if I can.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I will say again that it is important to know what it is you are trying to do. If you are trying to gain a grade level in a subject for schooling purposes, that is sometimes different from mastering a subject for use in a specific way outside of the school setting. Sometimes you may want to learn how to do a specific thing like design presentations or write speeches. If you are looking for general improvement, why is it that you want to improve? Try to find the reason why you are seeking a tutor. Your purpose for this enterprise will inform how you choose your teacher.
