About Mohamed

I love when my students reach their goals and become confident learners

I was asked to volunteer and it's become a hobby since then.

I have tutored since 2010. I tutored kids ranging from 8 years old to 15 years old Arabic and Quran at the Islamic center of Moline, IL. I tutored adults ESL and math at the Baptist church of Moline, IL in 2011. I tutored Muslim youth Quran and Arabic (ages 7-14) in the Islamic center of Peoria, IL from 2012-2014.

About the lesson

First of all, I have to talk to them for a little bit to get a feel of how their personality is (mostly for kids). This gives me an idea on how to make every session interesting so the kid doesn't stay bored and so he/she also looks forward to having the tutoring season. Second, I have to evaluate their level and see their weaknesses/strengths. I also like to add five extra minutes (my own time without getting paid) for fun activities/story telling time (also if they are kids).

I've worked with all ages. I have worked with kids (Muslim youth) aging from 7 years old to 15 years old. I have also worked with adults (Hispanic community) pursuing their GED.

First of all, set your goal. Second, find somebody who will not only help you achieve your goal, but somebody you'll be comfortable with and looking forward to spend time with. Don't settle for any tutor.

I've just visited Egypt. I participated in a book exhibit event for adults and kids as well. I liked the social side of it

He always turned an arduous learning experience to one that was not only extremely knowledgeable, but one that was interesting and fun too. Mohamed is an excellent tutor. He tutored my little sister from 2012-2016 in both Arabic (writing and reading) and Quran. He is very knowledgeable, patient and organized. He also let us know that he tutors for English classes so he conveniently split her sessions (after school hours) to review her English assignments and work on her English reading and writing skills. She successfully completed her sessions with him and is fluent in her writing/reading Arabic and English skills as well as her Quran. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a well rounded tutor for kids in elementary/middle school!
