About Michael

I have been teaching bagpipes since 1988.I also taught music at Western Carolina University. I teach students at all levels from beginners to grade 1.

Everyone in my family teaches and have for generations.

I am a certified music teacher with a degree in performance. I studied with three of the finest pipers in Scotland.I have won awards in 7 states and Canada. I taught music at University level but also k-12. I have been a band director since 1988.

Learning is easier with a good teacher and more fun too.

I performed at Kilronan Castle in Ireland along with the Sligo Ceili Band this summer. Last night I performed for more than an hour at Highlands Country Club in North Carolina.
