About Mark
I started teaching at an independant studio in St Paul MN over 30 years ago. There I began my training and quickly moved up the ranks in the competative field of ballroom dancing winning the National Rising Star Latin division and placing 5th in the National Open Latin division after only 5 years of dancing.
I spent much of my time in school playing around in the theatre. I performed in Show Choir and musical theatre. I have also basic training in ballet. And I am an amature musician.

About the lesson

I start with fun and simple basic steps to get you moving around the room. Then we add a bit of technical understanding to make it all feel a little better. Add some music and we dance!
I work with all levels of students ranging from beginning social dancers to high level competitive ballroom and latin dance couples.
It is best to know what you are wanting from your dancing. Are you interested in the physical activity, the social activity, or are you wanting to be more intense about your training and concider dancing at a competative level?
Each teacher/studio will provide different posibilities.
My entire family had the oportunity to perform together in the show at an event a few years ago. (concealed information)
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be clear on what you have budgeted for your dancing. It is easy to get pulled into pouring more money into this hobby than iintended. Private lessons can be a bit more expensive than group classes. Then keep in mind your expectations. everyone learns at a differnt pace. There is no guarantees as to how quickly you will be able to learn to dance at the level you desire.

My standard rate is $125 for a 45 min session. I am happy to do 2 or more sessions at a time.
