About Joe

20+ yrs of coaching baseball on travel/club ball , HS and college levels. Began coaching HS at 23 yrs old after playing College Ball. Have instructed players with little or no experience to players with experience. My communication and patience with ALL players is a strong point. pitching I Have instructed pitchers of all ages, from 7 to 17. Players just starting out...Begin with basic Throwing motion, catching the ball, foot movement, batting stance and swing...moving to Mechanics evaluation, videotape, breakdown of videotape, educate pitchers on different grips, location, in game pitch selection, composure, umpires viewpoint(i am an umpire too), holding runners on base. Exercises to become stronger. Although Pitching instruction is my strongest skill, I am well versed in the instruction of hitting, baserunning and fielding. Have attended many seminars given by professional athletes.

Presently, Head Coach of 11U Select Team in Houston...affiliated with Westbury, Houston LL...See below

Please ask me for references. I Have many players I have instructed that found me outside of this website.

Developing players to maximize their ability to become a complete player/pitcher, refining their physical skills, combined with learning the mental parts of the game

After suffering an arm injury pitching in College, began coaching Junior Varsity HS baseball at the age of 21

Have coached Little League and on HS and College levels. Many competitive travel teams. Been through the age 10-17 process, three times. Many seminars with professionals. Witnessed multiple one on one sessions with other professional instructors, inclusive of Marcus Stroman and Steven Matz (Mets) when in HS

About the lesson

Initial session is to visualize players pitching, batting and fielding mechanics. Make subtle changes, explaining the reasons. Find out what, if any, previous instruction given, so to avoid conflicts. Subsequent sessions, more detailed analysis. Then, videotape, review, institute changes. Patient Communication with player is key

Perfect! Coach Joe is a good communicator both off the field with parents and on the field as a teacher. He has done well with our 10 year-old to motivate him and push him past his comfort zone. He is patient, yet firm, and we are glad that we found him to introduce our son to baseball.

Perfect! Coach Joe is a true baseball enthusiast and loves working toward the betterment of the game. He is very detailed and relatable to our 9 year old that is just now getting into kid pitch baseball. He had him throwing strikes within one session and Brian looks forward to our weekly meetings with Coach Joe. I coach football and know a good coach when I see one.

Very prompt and great communication. 10 out of 10 would hire him again.

Our son has just turned 11 and has never been on a little league team, but he has a strong interest in playing and is fairly athletic. We signed up with Pro Game Athletics to get him caught up and taught the necessary skills to play and have fun. After 3 lessons so far with Coach Joe he has learned quite a lot about fielding, batting and pitching. I like that Coach Joe is patient and breaks down each skill into its detail pieces and encourages learning the right way not only to get good at it but to be safe and not get hurt. For example, pitching the ball the wrong way or throwing more advanced pitches before learning the basics.
