About Brian

I begin with a conversation with the parent(s) and/or student(s) to discuss the specifics of their reason for reaching out, along with a description of what it is I do.

I then, if their is an interest, set up a convenient time & place to perform an evaluation with no preconceived notions of the player(s) overall baseball/softball skills, athleticism, knowledge/IQ, attitude, etc.

This is not so much the time for instruction but rather the gathering of information thru both visual, as well as verbal (Questions for both parent/guardian/student) activity.

Ultimately, as a teacher, I need to be able to speak the same language as my students in order for them to be able to learn and become "their own best coach".

My goal as their instructor/teacher is for me to eventually become unnecessary.

Preparing the player and family how to better handle success, as well as failure both on and off the field. Baseball/softball are both filled with a tremendous amount of "failure", and for good reason. They both, like life are very challenging. I believe this to be the secret to increased performance and success.

Additionally, providing the information/roadmap necessary for them to begin to master the fundamentals and watch as they develop a their own system and routine with which to develop their skills is amazing.

-Former Professional player in the SF Giants organization.
-Regional Director and Level I instructor for Doyle Academy for 8 years.
-assistant National Director and pitching coordinator with US Elite Baseball for 6 years.
-Continuous and daily student of the game studying and discussing the elite level swing with many of the top instructors in the country on social media.

About the lesson

1. Personal or phone conversation with prospective client.

2. If approved, we meet for an assessment of knowledge and understanding, and skill level.

3. Perform 60-90 minutes of instruction on a weekly or 2x per week basis in order to "set" new "feels" and drills for development

4. Optional detailed video and/or written description of lesson and an "Individual Development Program" IDP

5. The goal is for the player to be able to develop and coach him/herself and for me to become less necessary. Be Their Own Best Coach

Perfect! Brian has been absolutely amazing with my 14 year old son. He was really struggling since moving up from little league. He was always a great hitter and now all he was doing is striking out or popping out, just couldn't seem to drive the ball into the outfield. Brian changed his whole technique and now he is hitting home runs!! The transformation I see in him is amazing! We will continue to work with Brian throughout his career as long as necessary.
