About Matthew

I bring 15 years of experience in private lessons, group training, team instruction, and coaching mentorship. For 12 years, I served as Director of Baseball Operations for Impact Team Sports. My clients and their parents appreciate my style: laid-back yet highly accountable, fostering quick skill development while building mental confidence and self-esteem for athletes of all ages. The principles I teach both in skill and character, extend far beyond the baseball field into everyday life.

I specialize in pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding. Every session is comprehensive, incorporating not just baseball fundamentals, but also arm care and band work, core and mobility exercises, and strength/speed training when relevant.

I was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 7th round in 2010 out of the University of Toledo, where I earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors as a junior. After three years with the Braves organization, I finished my professional playing career in 2013 with the Normal City CornBelters and the Lake Erie Crushers in the Frontier League. I was also a high school Louisville Slugger All-American, earned 2nd Team All-State honors, and was team MVP for Brecksville High School’s best team in school history, a regional finalist.

I look forward to helping you or your athlete achieve your goals and excel throughout your baseball journey.
