About Stefan

Growing up in the Philadelphia area, I grew up being taught how to play infield the correct way from guys that played in the Phillies organization with Larry Bowa, Mike Schmidt and Pete Rose. My instructors were able to take what Larry, Mike and Pete were doing and apply to my game growing up. This helped play NCAA Division 1 Baseball at St. Joes University (Atlantic 10 Confernce) and establish a potential hall of fame career there. I hold records for games played, games started, at-bats, and longest on-base streak. I am also in the Top 5 in most hitting categories as well. I would really like to help young kids achieve their goals on a baseball field.

Growing up and having baseball instructors help me, I knew I always wanted to share my knowledge as I got older and help out the kids in a similar way to how the older guys helped me out.

I played Division 1 College Baseball, as well as in the most elite summer ball leagues. I have many close friends that are continuing to play professionally, as well as some that are currently on big league rosters.

About the lesson

Typical process starts by just playing catch. I want to see how the feet are moving, how the hands are looking and also where they are actually catching the ball on their body. From there, we go through basic drills and different plays on the field.

I've worked with all kids ranging from tee-ball to college.

I would say make sure you are able to form some sort of trust in your teacher. The more you trust your teacher, the more you will buy in to what they are trying to teach you.

I am honestly just found of going to an empty field with a bucket of balls and fielding them until the sun goes down.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Really think about how bad you want to play. As you get into higher levels of baseball, the pressure and grind of a season can become much greater. If you are not mentally prepared for the long practices and road trips, it will feel like an even longer season.
