About Tom

Once we identify the students flaws we give the student the proper instruction and drills to correct that problem. We put a huge emphasis on allowing Students to have their own style. We do not do robot type instruction

I have 28 years of experience and constantly study new techniques and ways to have the student FEEL what they are dong. The process of feeling is the ah-ha moment I coach for, the light goes on and we can build on that success.

About the lesson

I first want to evaluate the student and see what he or she is looking to improve upon. i then try and get a realistic idea of where the student thinks they are on a success scale. I also then try and get an idea of where their mom or dad thinks they are at. This helps me understand a better way to help the student the most. I then evaluate for myself and discuss a plan for success with them.

I have worked with students of all ages. I normally start at approx 12 & up and have some junior instructors start with the little ones

They MUST be comfortable with the instructor or you will be wasting your $$. Next would be that the student has to totally understand what is being taught. I would explain the student should be able to explain and demonstrate what they learned at their lesson to a parent or they didn't really learn anything.

Myself along with some great coaches just sent a team that have 10 of their 12 kids going on to play in college. I have had most of these kids as students and it is very rewarding to know that in a very small way you helped the student achieve their goal.

Coach Calnen has a passion for the game and really helped me understand the best way to improve my game. He also took the time to watch game video I sent him.

All lessons are different based upon the student and how far they are traveling. I have some students that travel a couple hours to see me. I normally do a double lesson and make sure they get plenty of opportunity to work on what we went over during the lesson. This is done in an effort to make the drive worth while. For the most part I have a structure pricing system depending on the type of lesson.
