Take Action CPR Training is a full-service training provider for The American Red Cross and the American Safety and Health Institute. As firefighter/paramedics, doctors and nurses, our staff has a great deal of first-hand experience handling cardiac and breathing emergencies. Our staff comes directly to your location and delivers some of the most memorable First Aid/CPR/AED certification instruction that is available today. No more commuting to a training class. We have the latest and most sophisticated training equipment. Take Action CPR's training approach focuses heavily on teamwork when faced with a medical emergency. CPR training should be fun, so we never use boring videos that offer zero hands-on experience. By the end of our training classes, each and every one of our students is equipped with the necessary skills to save someone's life!

There is no greater feeling than teaching people how to save lives! Cardiac arrest takes nearly 300,000 lives every year in the United States. Being prepared to handle a sudden cardiac arrest emergency is extremely important, as it can strike with no warning signs. For every minute that someone is in cardiac arrest (no respirations and no pulse), their chance of survival decreases by 10% without intervention. You really only have a small window of time to make a difference, so it is important to be trained and confident when it comes time to attempt patient resuscitation. I enjoy making my students laugh and hearing stories about how they made a difference in someone's life because of the training that they received from Take Action CPR.

As a firefighter/paramedic, I taught CPR at my firehouse for many years, and was shocked at how many people were unhappy that they had to commute on a Monday night and attend class until 9:30 PM. Some students were traveling upwards of 50 miles to attend my class due to a lack of available classes in their area. I decided to make training convenient by coming directly to my students and issuing certifications the same day.

About the lesson

Call, message or email Take Action CPR Training if you are interested in a safety training class. Tell us who you are, where you work/live, and how many students need training. We train the general public, healthcare professionals, and lay responders. Do you need CPR training? Perhaps CPR & First Aid training? Do you have an AED at your home/facility? Do you want to be trained in its operation? Once we know how many students need training, we will give you a detailed quote. If you have a large group of 20 or more students, we can handle it. All certifications are delivered via email within 48 hours of your training class. Your certification is valid for two years through the American Red Cross or the American Safety & Health Institute. We bring all of the training equipment directly to your group. Even if you do not require certification, we can still come out and train you or your group! Everyone, no matter what they do for a living, should be trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED operation. Please call or email us if you have any additional questions. We look forward to training you!

It is important to hire a safety trainer that has first-hand experience in handling medical emergencies in the field. As a firefighter/paramedic who responds to 911 calls on an advanced life support ambulance, I know exactly what type of care needs to be rendered by family/bystanders prior to my arrival at the emergency. My First Aid/CPR/AED training classes focus on how to deliver this necessary care before EMS arrives. When you call 911, it may take 4-5 minutes for an ambulance to arrive at your location. Properly handling the medical emergency (especially cardiac arrest) in these first 4-5 minutes before EMS professionals arrive results in lives saved. The American Red Cross High Quality CPR curriculum, blended with my field experience, makes for one unique and outstanding safety training experience. Many safety trainers do not have the ability to effectively train their students because they have no actual field experience. Anyone can take a CPR instructor course, obtain an instructor certification, and then throw on boring videos in the classroom. Never hesitate to ask your prospective safety trainer about their level of medical training and what type of experience they can bring to the training classroom.

Recently I taught 200 graduate level students over the course of four days at The Kellogg School of Management, which is the business school of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. All 200 students were preparing to lead international trips and were required to participate in a CPR/AED and First Aid training. The Kellogg School of Management is in the top five of all business schools in the entire country. It was an absolute privilege to train on the Northwestern campus.
